In line with its mandate to promote inclusive dialogue and sustainable peace, the JUGAAD Foundation successfully convened a solution-oriented forum focused on addressing the pressing socio-economic and security challenges impacting the Southern Kaduna community.
The event brought together community leaders, youth representatives, women’s groups, policymakers, civil society actors, and other key stakeholders for constructive, evidence-based discussions aimed at shaping a shared path forward.
Key areas of discussion included the root causes of conflict and underdevelopment, the amplification of marginalized voices, and the co-creation of practical, actionable strategies to foster reconciliation, strengthen social cohesion, and advance equitable development.
The forum deliberately shifted the focus from problem-centered debates to solution-focused collaboration, fostering an environment of mutual trust, collective responsibility, and constructive engagement. Participants jointly explored ways to promote accountability, inclusive governance, and community-driven development initiatives, laying a strong foundation for long-term stability and prosperity in Southern Kaduna.
The outcomes of the conversation will guide follow-up actions, including continued stakeholder engagement, the development of a community-led action plan, and the establishment of monitoring mechanisms to ensure that commitments made during the forum translate into tangible change.
Through this initiative, the JUGAAD Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to peacebuilding, inclusivity, and local ownership as central pillars for transformative development in Southern Kaduna.
